Cost & Funding
Paying for the degree
Tuition is only part of the cost. My planning also has to include housing, transportation, food, and other living expenses while attending the program.
Estimated program costs
Planning estimates retained in my October 6, 2026 project review; these are not confirmed 2028 quotes and exclude personal living expenses. Check ASU's Tempe MS-AIB overview and online MS-AIB overview for current tuition information. Confirm third-semester pricing with admissions.
~$65,000
Tempe MS-AIB
Estimated nonresident program cost.
~$90,000
Third-Semester Track
Higher cost because of the additional semester and coursework.
~$44,500
Online MS-AIB
The lowest-cost option because relocation and Tempe living expenses are not required.
Costs beyond tuition
- Housing Apartment rent and utilities in Tempe
- Food Groceries, meals, and dining expenses
- Transportation Vehicle expenses, parking, or local transit
- School Books, fees, supplies, and technology
My approach to funding
I am treating tuition, living expenses, scholarships, and other possible assistance separately so I can see the real cost of each option.
I also do not want to build the plan around scholarship money that is not guaranteed.
Housing matters
The Housing page looks at some of the Tempe apartment options that could affect the total cost of attending in person.
